Southern Company reported third quarter earnings of $738 million, or 99 cents per share, as residential and commercial customer growth and a strong economy in the Southeast helped drive increased electricity usage.

Even with all the high-tech testing and inspection techniques in use today, basic visual inspection of medical device parts and components continues to play a crucial role in quality control. That’s not to say that advanced technology is not a part of visual inspection.
